Each Encounter has a unique focus and equips you to navigate the life Jesus has called us to live. We offer five Encounter Courses, with Life- and Home Encounter (E1 & E2) required for those who would like to become members at Shofar East London.
Life Encounter is an opportunity to refresh and renew your relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Through foundational teaching and meaningful discussion, we explore essential topics such as Salvation, the Holy Spirit, and Water Baptism.
This Encounter is ideal if you’ve recently given your life to Christ, have questions about your faith, or simply desire a deeper connection with God. It’s a space to realign your heart, strengthen your spiritual foundations and experience a fresh touch from the Lord.

Many believers find themselves stuck, walking in circles instead of stepping into their Promised Land. Often, the root issue is identity. When we don’t know who we are in Christ, we struggle to live boldly and purposefully.
Destiny Encounter focuses on restoring your identity and redeeming your past so you can embrace your God-given destiny. Just as the Israelites struggled to see themselves correctly in light of the giants before them (Numbers 13:31), many Christians today wrestle with broken self-perception that limits their faith and calling.

Harvest Encounter is designed to equip believers to share the Gospel in a natural, authentic, and powerful way. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 9:37 that “the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.” Harvest Encounter is about raising and equipping those labourers.
This practical and encouraging event will help you grow in confidence as a witness for Christ. Whether you’re new to evangelism or simply want to become more effective in sharing your faith, Harvest Encounter will give you tools to reach people with the love of Jesus.
